About the Club

A Place Where Great Futures Start!

Here at the Boys & Girls Club we are looking towards the future – the future of our members.

The Club offers programs that impact the lives of our members in vital areas such as academic success, good character and citizenship, and healthy lifestyles. These programs and activities help youth thrive. Young people need to know that someone cares about them and we are here to support them in every aspect of their lives.

No matter how one participates – a volunteer, a mentor, a tutor, a donor, a staff member – collectively we make a difference. We can all put children on the path to a great future.

Please contact us  if we can be of service to you or if you would like to join us in our mission.

Safety

The safety and wellbeing of young people is our number one priority. At Boys & Girls Clubs of the Bellport Area, there is nothing more important than the safety of our members. We work every day to create a safe, fun environment so kids can have every opportunity to be successful in life. We do not tolerate inappropriate behavior of any kind, including child sexual abuse, or misconduct. From strict adherence to policies and guidelines within Club facilities and staffing structure to employing strategic safety partnerships and tools, ensuring Club members are safe is the first step to their success.

History
The Club was founded in 1965 as the Bellport Area Community Action Committee, Inc., (BACAC). In 1996, we affiliated with the Boys & Girls Clubs of America (BGCA) as Boys & Girls Club of the Bellport Area. BGCA is a national organization of local chapters serving over three million young people across the U.S. and on military bases around the world. We are a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization serving children ages 5 to 19 throughout the South Shore community in Suffolk County, Long Island
