Youth of the Year – Congratulations to the Club’s Youth of the Year, Thaleia N.!!!
We are thrilled to announce Thaleia N. has been named the Boys & Girls Club of the Bellport Area’s Youth of the Year!
Thaleia has been a participant in our Club’s programs and activities since 2015, when she first attended Youth STEM Day. She is a senior at Longwood Senior High School, where she carries a 3.7/4.0 academic average. She is a Girl Scout who has earned her Silver Award. And in 2020, she was selected by our Club for an internship with the Friends of Bellport Bay.
Up next, Thaleia will participate in the state level Youth of the Year competition for New York, so stay tuned for updates along the way as we share her #GreatFutures journey! #YOY2021

Congratulations to everyone who participated in “The Wiz”, a production by Playcrafters Theatre Company! Three of the young stars have continued to share their talents by performing in Playcrafters’ production of “Born Yesterday” by Garson Kanin. Our Scarecrow, Kimberly B., Tinman, Josiah M., and Glinda, Ava R. were part of a fine cast of experienced actors performing a quality play by a noted playwright. Showing his skills, Cameron T. was trained on and operated the lighting board for “The Wiz” and assisted with the lights for the production of “Born Yesterday.” We are extremely impressed by each and every one of “The Wiz” cast members!! A standing ovation for all!!
